Ken Hammond (ice hockey)

Kenneth Paul Hammond (born August 22, 1963) is a Canadian retired ice hockey professional ice hockey player. Hammond was born in Port Credit, Ontario, but grew up in London, Ontario.
==Playing career==
Ken captained his RPI team to a Division I NCAA men's hockey championship in 1985. He was a First Team All-American and First Team All-NCAA Tournament team selection with Adam Oates, Daren Puppa and John Carter. He completed his degree in Civil Engineering and later returned to achieve an M.B.A. in Finance & Accounting. RPI Stats Games 129, Goals 22, Assists 55, Points 77, Penalty Minutes 270.
Hammond started his National Hockey League career with the Los Angeles Kings in 1984. He was the Kings Rookie of the Year in 1987, shared with goaltender Glenn Healy. He would also play with the Edmonton Oilers, New York Rangers, Toronto Maple Leafs, Boston Bruins, San Jose Sharks, Vancouver Canucks and Ottawa Senators. He would spend a season with the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League,where he set a team scoring record for defenceman and two seasons in the International Hockey League with the Kansas City Blades before retiring. His professional career stats Games 771, Goals 67, Assists 251, Points 318, Penalty Minutes 1,208.
